The Opportunity

They are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the day-to-day finance operations of its Australian business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Review coding on requisitions and ensure accuracy of GL account and cost centre allocation
- Prepare journals for accruals, reclassifications, cost allocations, and amortisations
- Complete general ledger, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with BAS, FBT, TPAR, WorkCover, and ATO Payment Times reporting
- Support preparation of income tax schedules, annual financial statements, and audit requirements
- Manage corporate credit cards, including new requests and limit changes
- Provide ad hoc support to finance team and managers as required

About You

- Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) and working towards CA/CPA qualification
- 4+ years' accounting experience, ideally within a complex or software/consulting environment
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, linked sheets)
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
