About the Job
The Manager, Tech Group Risk, Governance and Compliance plays a pivotal role in strengthening governance, risk management, and compliance across SA Water’s Technology Group. This role will lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of frameworks, processes, and reporting, ensuring alignment with SA Water’s strategic direction and regulatory obligations.
The Manager will be sought out to provide advice that enables informed decision-making, strengthens risk resilience, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. With a team of governance, risk, assurance, and quality professionals, the Manager will guide and inspire a team to deliver trusted outcomes that support technology and business operations. They will have demonstrated people leadership experience, with the capability to inspire, mentor, and develop a team that is going through change. A passion for process improvement, such as lean or Six Sigma, will be highly valued, along with an adaptable approach to governance and agility in environments with less structure. A strong understanding of project governance is essential, with the successful candidate ensuring that projects and programs within the Technology portfolio operate within robust, transparent and fit-for-purpose governance structures.
Please note, this is not a cyber security GRC role. The focus is on uplifting and ensuring fit for purpose technology governance, uplifting risk management across the technology portfolio and identifying and planning for the capabilities required to support and enable technology delivery for the business.
