The Role

Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose free range.

We are looking for a proactive and thoughtful leader to manage our site maintenance team, apprentices, and contractors. This role is perfect for someone who excels in building strong relationships, promoting growth, and ensuring safe, high-quality operations.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support the maintenance team to achieve excellence

- Plan and deliver scheduled shutdowns with care and precision

- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure smooth operations

- Provide clear work schedules and ongoing guidance

- Champion safety, quality, and audit standards

About you

- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant trade qualification

- Prior experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
