Product Analyst (Contract)
Department: Demand Generation
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Australia
Description
ABOUT CLIENT
Our client is a leading B2B fintech brand, Stripe, whose financial infrastructure platform is leveraged by Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within the Australia & New Zealand Product organization, reporting to the ANZ Product Lead. It is a hybrid role spanning Product Operations, Technical Project Management, and Market Enablement, designed to deliver critical go-to-market and regulatory initiatives.
The Product Ops / Technical PM will be responsible for executing a range of market-specific product, pricing, and compliance projects—ensuring timelines, dependencies, and communications stay on track. The work will combine operational rigor with light technical capability (basic APIs and SQL), making it ideal for someone with strong analytical and coordination skills who enjoys execution at pace.
This is a highly cross‑functional position, working closely with Product, Engineering, Pricing, S&O, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure smooth delivery of market‑critical changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the execution of market-specific product and pricing changes, ensuring cross‑functional alignment across product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams.
- Maintain clear and detailed project runbooks and trackers, owning task dependencies, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Directly execute 30–40% of operational tasks — including data updates, quality checks, documentation, and preparation of launch materials.
- Perform light analytical validation using data queries and basic tools to confirm accuracy and measure impact (no deep technical experience required).
- Partner with engineering and GTM teams to ensure readiness, identifying gaps and driving smooth execution.
- Deliver concise weekly progress updates, highlighting risks, blockers, and recommended actions.
- Capture learnings and contribute to repeatable playbooks, improving the efficiency and consistency of future product change cycles.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 3+ years’ experience in Product Operations, Project Management, Business Analysis, or Technical PM roles.
- Strong organizational and project management skills — capable of managing large, detailed workstreams with multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable performing light data validation using SQL or similar tools, with an emphasis on analytical reasoning rather than technical depth.
- Excellent written communication and ability to convey complex updates simply.
- Collaborative, low‑ego, and pragmatic — thrives in cross‑functional settings without the need for formal authority.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or regulatory environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Located in Australia, preferably Sydney, with ability to work 2–3 days per week from the Sydney office.
