Overview

The Lancefield Hotel is seeking a creative Chef to bring passion for food to the team, designing and delivering a menu that wows every guest. You’ll lead the way in our modern kitchen alongside a fun, passionate team and help set the standard for unforgettable dining experiences.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive base salary of AUD 77,000–78,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook food for patrons, including daily meals and food specials.
- Create and execute a diverse menu with a focus on quality, presentation, and seasonal specials.
- Cater to dietary requirements to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Ensure all food preparation meets health, safety, and HACCP standards.
- Contribute to menu development, including new ideas and concepts.
- Support and guide kitchen staff where needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and support the Head Chef in key supplier engagements.
- Manage inventory, including weekly stocktakes, receiving orders, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in the ordering process to ensure stock levels are maintained efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a similar discipline.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in culinary management or kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of menu development, food cost management, and general kitchen operations.
