The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Change Manager to support transformational workforce reform, with a key focus on contemporising rostering practices across the Agency.

This is your opportunity to provide your change management expertise and leadership to support the delivery of a key strategic project for our Agency. The Program is taking a two-step approach to improving rostering practices:

- Process harmonisation and standardisation– to enable consistent and contemporary rostering practices across the Agency
- Adoption of digital solutions– to support automation to support our frontline teams and readying for an HRIS implementation

The Role:

You will play a key role in providing change management leadership to support people related reform initiatives, in particular driving the transformation in contemporising rostering and workforce practices across the Agency.

Accountable to the Program Director, you will take the lead in designing and delivering strategic change management activities that support the rollout of contemporary rostering practices across the Agency. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly support frontline teams and help drive lasting organisational improvement.

In this role, you will:

- Lead the development and delivery of change strategies and activities to support improved rostering systems and practices.
- Build a tailored change management framework to support the rostering program, including the development and implementation of a change strategy, stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and internal communications.
- Provide expert guidance on training and capability-building to support adoption and long-term success.
- Coach and support senior leaders and key stakeholders, offering specialist advice on how to embed our rostering changes effectively across the organisation.

This is more than just a project. It is a significant change journey for the Department, and we are in search of someone who can guide and support our people through it. You'll be working closely with a committed team to support the change towards contemporary rostering practices including rostering system uplifts, rostering practices, and driving sustainable change to help our workforce feel confident and ready for what is ahead.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

- Current Working with Children Registration

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Change Management, or a related discipline (desirable)

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight,commencing as soon as possible for a two-year period.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:$139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance withPublic Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
