Chinchilla, Australia ClearCompany Full time

The Employer

Our client is a premier Australian seedstock and commercial cattle agribusiness, renowned for its commitment to superior genetics, innovative breeding practices, and sustainable land management. Operating across multiple properties in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales, the business manages a large herd of registered cattle, specialising in Ultrablack, Brangus, and Angus breeds, with a strong focus on the Ultrablack. Established in 1970, the brand has grown into an industry leader, with the development of the Ultrablack breed in 2009 marking a significant milestone in addressing the demand for cattle with tropical performance, increased meat quality and enhanced fertility. Through continuous investment in research, education, and advanced technologies, our client delivers high-quality, profitable genetics to customers across Australia, maintaining a leading position in beef production.

The Role

A Property Manager is sought to lead a 1,140 Ha bull management and sales hub near Chinchilla, Queensland, featuring a modern selling centre, advanced hydraulic cattle handling systems, strategic paddocks for rotational grazing, and specialised feed pens. The role advances commercial beef production through innovative genetics, sustainable practices, and collaboration with team members, other property managers, and senior management.

The Property Manager will manage the development, nutrition, and presentation of Ultrablack, Brangus, and Angus bulls for auctions and paddock sales, utilising tools such as Kool Collect and Maia Grazing for animal health and pasture management. Supported by strong partnerships with veterinarians, nutritionists, the regional operations manager and agronomists, the Property Manager will have experience in preparing bulls for sale and expertise in grazing management to optimise business outcomes.

The role requires professional client management, delivering breeding advice, coordinating client visits, and fostering long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and market growth.

Success in this role requires meeting financial KPIs, ensuring safe, high-quality, and sustainable outcomes. This role is vital in a team-oriented environment, where professional client service, specialist partnerships, and collaboration with team members, other property managers, and senior management drive innovation and success in premium genetic selection and bull production.

The ideal candidate

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated Property Manager with a strong background in seedstock production and proven experience managing large numbers of bulls to lead this innovative cattle operation. The ideal candidate will represent the business professionally, with a passion for building and nurturing client relationships. They will bring technical expertise in cattle management, practical skills, and sound business judgment, coupled with exceptional communication and strong teamwork skills essential for collaborating across properties and with specialists.

The successful candidate will:

- Possess a deep understanding of cattle operations, including a keen eye for cattle, extensive knowledge of stud breeding and genetics, and expertise in grazing management.

- Demonstrate strong leadership in driving safety, pro‑active decision making, and operational efficiency.

- Exhibit highly developed communication and negotiation skills to serve as a professional, public‑facing ambassador for the business.

- Show a proven ability to lead teams to deliver livestock programs and business objectives.

- Be proficient in operating and maintaining modern farming machinery, managing farm administration, and maintaining accurate livestock, pasture, and financial records.

- Be trustworthy, honest, ethical, and fair, with an exemplary record of professional standards and a collaborative style that reflects company values.

- Be hands‑on with a strong work ethic, capable of leading by example, and practice low‑stress stock handling techniques.

The Offer

A generous salary package is on offer to attract the highest calibre of applicant, including a salary commensurate with experience, along with a work vehicle, and other inclusions as negotiated. A comfortable and modern 4‑bedroom house (2 years old) with utilities covered will be provided, suitable for a family. The property is located 10 mins from Chinchilla, QLD, with good access to regional amenities and schools.
