About the role

Leadership: The Manager for this role is Ali Sadreddini. Ali is based in Sydney and is one of two East Coast Practice Leads for Data and AI. Ali will be committed to providing ongoing development opportunities to help you reach your full potential. As a member of our Data & AI team, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters growth, innovation, knowledge sharing and creativity.

As a Microsoft Data and AI Architect, you will be responsible for assessing and designing complex solutions to meet our client's technology and business needs. The Architect is a subject matter expert for strategic client opportunities. We will count on you to provide leadership and technical support to your teammates. Along the way, you will get to:

- Act as a Team Lead on large engagements, taking ownership of the project outcome and quality.
- Research and evaluate client systems and architecture; draw conclusions; and develop recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives.
- Implement technologies and solutions based on designs.
- Lead and manage the creation and execution of project technical budget and scope.
- Identify and resolve project issues with clients.
- Work with internal personnel to define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations.

What we're looking for

- Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing, building and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure IaaS and PaaS.
- Solid experience with the Azure Data platform including Azure SQL, Synapse, SQL Datawarehouse, Data Factory, Data Bricks, Data Lake, Fabric, Power BI.
- Previous consulting/professional services experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to write quality, high-level and detailed architectural diagrams, strategic roadmaps and technical documentation that communicate customer vision.
- Understanding of project budgets.
- Ability to manage and mentor other team members.
