The Opportunity

We’re on the hunt for a Senior Android Engineer who’s passionate about crafting beautiful, intuitive mobile experiences that make a real difference in people’s lives.

You’ll be joining a small, high-impact engineering squad working on greenfield mental health and EAP app initiatives – stealth-mode projects with the potential to change the way Australians access care.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Building modern, scalable Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to bring product concepts to life
- Applying thoughtful design patterns to ensure long-term maintainability
- Taking a test-and-learn approach to development, with a focus on outcomes
- Participating in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
- Supporting testing and documentation to ensure smooth delivery and support

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s not just technically strong, but also:

- A strategic thinker who can balance speed with quality
- A clear communicator who thrives in ambiguity
- A team player who takes ownership and accountability

Must-haves:

- 7+ years of experience in Android development
- Deep expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Strong understanding of Material Design and Android UX principles
- Experience with RESTful APIs, UI/Unit Testing, and Accessibility
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Tools: Git, Jira, Confluence
