We are seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education Teachers for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies commencing during this period.

The Role

While we are establishing a pool for any vacancies that arise in the 2026 school year, there is a 12‑month fixed‑term position available commencing at the start of Term 1 2026.

Suitable applicants should ideally be expert, passionate teachers of Health and Physical Education with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They should display excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and experience in developing and delivering the curriculum using a wide range of teaching models. Qualifications and experience in teaching Certificate II in Sports Coaching will be considered highly desirable.

Ideal applicants should practice inclusively and cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment for students in varying ability levels across Year 7 to 12. They should be highly proficient in motivating and engaging students through relevant and meaningful learning programmes and demonstrate effective use of information and communication technologies in the teaching of Health and Physical Education.

We are seeking dynamic and collaborative individuals who are committed to working effectively as part of a team and who strive to connect and inspire with staff, students and the wider school community. Candidates will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills, be relationship‑focused, and be able to take on course leadership responsibilities. Building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role. You should have a strong evidence‑based approach to teaching, be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice to support professional growth and be able to demonstrate how your pedagogy has actively resulted in improved outcomes and progression for your students.
