About the role:

Experienced and motivated Cleaners are encouraged to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Ningana

This is acasual opportunity working 8am - 2pm, 8am - 230 and 730am - 2pm with availability to work at least 2-3 days a week.

- Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
- Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
- Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
- Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:

- Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents' property and privacy
- Have previous experience cleaning in a large organisation or commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
- Have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices (preferred but not essential)
- An understanding of infection control procedures
- Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BESTway of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

- A current Working WithVulnerable People card
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
