Position Information
William Rose School is an inclusive Kindergarten to Year 12 School for Specific Purposes (SSP) located in Western Sydney. Responsibilities
- Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualification approved by the NSW Department of Education.
- Proven capability to design, deliver and evaluate differentiated teaching and learning programs that integrates technology for student with varied communication, learning and support needs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the school community and lead innovative, dynamic and inclusive student focused library learning that promotes a love of literature.
- Well-developed skills in the management of student behaviour, engagement and wellbeing within the library setting, including the ability to establish clear expectations, promote positive student conduct, and provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills that encourage collaboration with teachers to align resources with the curriculum and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) , contribute to a positive school culture, and optimise learning and wellbeing outcomes for students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part-time position for 3 days per week - 0.6 FTE (Full-time equivalent).
If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
