Civil Labourer

Haynes is currently seeking Civil Labourers to join our client’s team on a solar farm project based in Merriwa, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the renewable energy sector and contribute to a large-scale solar installation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist civil plant operators and trades in daily earthworks, trenching, and drainage activities.
- Conduct manual tasks including shovelling, raking, spotting, and site clean‑up.
- Set up and dismantle work areas, barriers, and signage as required.
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around site.
- Operate small tools and equipment (plate compactors, water pumps, saws, etc.) under supervision.
- Act as a spotter / safety observer for plant and vehicle movements.
- Comply with all A One Earthworks and site‑specific WHS, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Participate in pre‑start meetings, toolbox talks, and site training as required.

To be successful, you will have:

- White Card – Mandatory
- Driver’s Licence and reliable transport – Mandatory
- Previous experience in civil, construction, or renewable energy projects (desirable)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Tickets such as forklift, EWP, or telehandler (advantageous but not essential)
