About the role

The DC Service Person operates throughout the entire distribution center, providing support to all specialist branches. Key responsibilities include managing yard operations, loading and unloading transport vehicles, preparing equipment for hire, and ensuring equipment upkeep through cleaning, servicing, and minor repairs.

This role requires you to;

- Perform equipment loading/unloading
- Perform operational service maintenance and documentation to render equipment serviceable
- Ensure the yard is organised and equipment is rotated for availability.
- Follow site procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment
- Perform branch facilities cleaning and maintenance as required

About you

- Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
- The availability to work weekends (if required)
- This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
- Strong communication skills
- Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
- Good knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
- A positive attitude and team player
