Job Description:

The role of a Heavy Diesel Fitter at Marble is a fantastic opportunity for experienced tradespeople to work on a long-term project in the mining industry.

We are looking for a skilled individual who can undertake scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts on heavy machinery, such as Sandvik and CAT trucks, boggers, and development drills. The ideal candidate will have a mechanic trade qualification, be able to adapt to various conditions and environments, and hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence.

As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will work within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly. You will also have the opportunity to attend breakdowns, fault finding, and diagnostic work, and provide technical support.

We offer a competitive salary of AU$140,000 - AU$170,000 per annum plus superannuation, an even time 7/7 roster, and access to a well-equipped workshop and attractive facilities. You will also have the opportunity to upskill and learn within this environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts on heavy machinery.
  • Attend breakdowns, fault finding, and diagnostic work.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Work within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Mechanic trade qualification.

  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.

About Marble:

About the Project:

The project is a relatively new initiative in South Australia, driving distance from Adelaide. It offers a large clean well-equipped workshop, highly regarded facilities on site, and further inclusions planned for the future. The rotations and travel would consist of 12-hour shifts, starting on Wednesdays and finishing on Tuesdays, with DIDO from South Adelaide.
