We are seeking a full‑time Animal Care Officer (Animal Attendant) with hands‑on experience in animal care to join our team at the Illawarra Shelter.

We are animal protectors, carers, and advocates, bringing solace to the abandoned, surrendered, and injured. We offer shelter, education, veterinary care, and compassion, while helping animals in need find loving forever homes.

The successful candidate will provide high‑quality animal husbandry, implement behavioural programs, and deliver enrichment and care for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to small animals and livestock. The successful candidate must hold a valid working visa and will be required to work weekends.

Certificate II Animal Care or equivalent, essential.
