Head of Drama (Junior & Middle School) - Vacancy Details

Haileybury is seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama educator to lead our Junior and Middle School departments. This substantive position of responsibility carries a five-year fixed-term tenure with an ongoing Drama teaching position spanning Prep to Year 8 classes. Campus location can be discussed by negotiation.

About you

We are seeking a team member who is:

- An outstanding Drama educator with expertise in curriculum design, blended learning, and effective assessment practices.
- A proven leader with experience managing academic programs, supporting staff, and fostering high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Committed to student success, demonstrating strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to engage with diverse students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

As the Head of Drama (Junior & Middle School), you will:

- Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality, innovative Drama curriculum (Prep–Year 8) aligned with the Australian Curriculum and future-focused learning.
- Ensure excellence in teaching through mentoring, professional development, and supporting staff to deliver outstanding student outcomes.
- Foster collaboration across campuses by sharing resources, moderating assessments, and using data to inform teaching practice.
- Oversee departmental operations, including budgeting, curriculum documentation, excursions/incursions, and digital learning platforms.
