This position is located in the Kemerton Lithium Refinery at Wellesley WA.**What You Will Do*** Lead adherence to Albemarle safety standards and be a visible contributor to improving frontline site safety.* Ensure that best practices from global Albemarle Lithium sites, corporate technical policies and standards, and relevant directives and lessons learned are being considered and implemented at Kemerton.* Identify the process hazards to the Albemarle process safety team and support subsequent correction of hazards. Participate in HAZOP’s and where necessary consult and assist in resolution of assigned HAZOP corrective actions.* Work collaboratively with the Albemarle Process Technology team, Engineering department, and the Kemerton Operations Team to improve production, quality, and safety.* Develop and support the implementation of technology improvements within Kemerton Refinery by conducting test work, plant trials, organising vendor support, and developing process engineering design and equipment sizing.* Identify and develop process alternatives to optimize plant operation and debottlenecking.* Where specific experience indicates, participate in value engineering, constructability, risk reviews and support maintenance of the risks and opportunities register.**What You Bring****Required:*** Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.**Preferred:*** **Previous experience in a chemical processing plant*** Self-motivated, organized, trustworthy, and adaptable* Strong technical and problem-solving skill for process operations and design* Ability to work well in teams, communicate clearly and concisely to stakeholders.* Ability to plan daily activities, manage priorities, and eliminate non-value added activities**Benefits of Joining Albemarle*** Competitive compensation* Comprehensive benefits package* A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
