We are currently seeking Hospitality Workers to join the teamproviding support services at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home.Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Gwelup is home to112 beds across two floors, including a dementia specific wing, andhas been designed and built to maximise our residents’enjoyment and wellbeing.
These roles are offered on a permanent part time basis,working a minimum of 15 hours per week.
We are also accepting applications for our casual poolwho provide relief across both morning and afternoon shifts, aswell as on weekends and public holidays.
We are ideally looking for applicants who are happy to workacross one or more of the following roles and shifts:
- 6.45am – 1.45pm, 7am – 1.30pm, 1pm– 7.45pm
- Domestic Assistant
- 8am – 1pm, 9am – 2pm
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in foodpreparation and cleaning and be of a friendly nature, asinteraction with our residents is core to our culture.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand or DomesticAssistant / Cleaner, ideally in an aged care, hospital orsimilar environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuinecompassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of TheBethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness toapply for one)
The Roles
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation,kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches andgeneral surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery andcutlery
Domestic Assistant
- Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floorsand communal areas are kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring supplies are stocked across the facility
- Liaising with other employees to ensure the needs of ourresidents are met
- Ensuring residents' personal clothing is individuallylabelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items thatrequire mending
