Overview

Work in a vibrant aquatic environment at one of Townsville’s most iconic community facilities Tobruk Memorial Baths is seeking a hands-on Café & Kitchen Manager to oversee our café operations while enjoying the unique atmosphere of a busy swim and recreation centre.

What you’ll do

- Manage day-to-day café and kitchen operations with a focus on quality and service
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to a high standard
- Lead, train, and support your team to deliver excellent service
- Handle cash management, stock control, and daily sales performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the CVM team

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience in a café, hospitality, or kitchen leadership role
- Current Food Safety Certification
- Strong knowledge of café service and commercial kitchen operations
- Great communication and organisational skills
- Blue Card, CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a busy environment
