About therole

TheStudent Pathways and Careers Division provides a focus on ensuringevery student is able to complete their secondary education andtransition to a meaningful pathway post-school which results inemployment in South Australia through vocational education andtraining, and/ or higher education.

Reportingto the Director, Technical Colleges Network, the Education Lead,Technical Colleges is a system leadership role within the StudentPathway and Careers division that supports the South AustralianGovernment's network of technical colleges. These technicalcolleges equip school students with the skills and disposition forcareers in key industries to help meet South Australia's workforceneeds.

Theposition is responsible for supporting partnering schoolprincipals, Technical College Leads and their leadership teams tofoster a networked approach to continuous improvement, high-qualityindustry-training programs, student wellbeing and studentexperience so that students achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

Essential:

- Anappropriate tertiary qualification in education includingpost-graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline desirableor relevant experience.

- Experience leading in alarge and complex organisation at an executive level, ensuring thetranslation of priorities into executed deliverables.

- You musthave, or be able to obtain, a Department for Human Services issuedWorking with Children Check.

Desirable:

- Apost-graduate qualification in an appropriate discipline desirableor relevant experience. This could include education leadership,wellbeing, vocational education, or workforcedevelopment.

Special conditions

Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry.

Theincumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Respondingto Risksof Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) FacilitatorLead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals)course which will be required to be updated every threeyears.

Remuneration

STL3$147,851 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
