About Euc We’re making good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people globally live with obesity, a major leading indicator of many preventable chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Eucalyptus is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight management programs combining GLP-1 medication with a tailored nutrition and exercise programme for women, supported by our multidisciplinary care team of prescribers, health coaches, dietitians, nurses and pharmacists. More recently, we launched Compound, our men’s health brand dedicated to proactive, personalised healthcare solutions. Together with our other brands (Kin, Pilot and Software), Juniper and Compound form part of our broader mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges by combining clinical care, science, and technology. Our published clinical research demonstrates that our combined approach to weight management and lifestyle change means that our patients are 4x as likely to lose significant weight through their course of treatment with Juniper. Since launching, we’ve grown fast to support millions of patients. In 2024 alone… - In the UK we quadrupled the size of our business, received selective NICE endorsement for our holistic approach to obesity management, and grew our team from 45 to 165. - Globally, we grew revenue by >120% YoY, while reducing cash burned by 90% YoY, with over $100M USD raised from global investors such as BOND, NewView, Blackbird and Airtree — early backers of companies like Canva, Stripe and Airbnb. What’s next? In 2025, we are charting the path to support hundreds of thousands of patients while launching into new conditions, demographics, and geographies as we move towards our vision of creating a preventive healthcare ecosystem. We’re going to build the world’s largest international digital healthcare company. This will be a challenging task, but it will be very rewarding and possibly the adventure of a lifetime, working with some of the best operators you will ever encounter. If that gets you excited, let’s talk. About the role (What you’ll be doing) We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our UK market engineering team, driving rapid experimentation and innovation to help us find and scale product–market fit. As a hands‑on leader, you will partner closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and commercial stakeholders to deliver high‑impact initiatives that unlock traction, accelerate growth, and position us as the number one player in the market. As an Engineering Manager, you will: - Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing engineering team, with responsibility for the performance, growth, and wellbeing of the individuals reporting to you. - Partner cross‑functionally with product, design, and commercial leaders to ensure we achieve ambitious market and product outcomes. - Own delivery management: run planning cycles, manage priorities, and ensure successful, timely execution of your team’s work. - Set cycle goals and KPIs, and help your team focus on delivering the right outcomes. - Ensure your team effectively owns, operates, and continuously improves the components within their domain. - Collaborate with other engineering managers to drive engineering‑wide initiatives, process improvements, and capability‑building across the organisation. - Design, hire, and evolve an effective engineering team, ensuring strong onboarding, clear feedback, and continuous development. - Adapt to the fast‑moving startup environment — navigating shifting priorities and seizing new opportunities quickly. About you (Who you are) - Experienced as an Engineering Manager is essential, ideally in a growth‑focused team, or familiar with growth strategies including experimentation, analytics, and A/B testing. - Previous experience as Technical Lead would also be beneficial. - Skilled at leading and managing engineers, giving constructive feedback, and helping individuals develop. - A clear and confident communicator who can simplify technical and complex topics for both technical and non‑technical colleagues. - Adept at balancing competing priorities across new features, iterative improvements, tech debt, and scalability. - Experienced working with product managers, designers, and cross‑functional teams to achieve great outcomes. - Passionate about inspiring teams — you bring clarity of purpose, energy, and alignment to those you lead. - Comfortable in a fast‑paced startup, able to balance rapid decision‑making with technical quality. - Strong problem‑solver when it comes to designing teams, facilitating agile rituals, and actioning feedback. - Significant prior experience as a senior+ engineer working on technically complex problems, with hands‑on experience in at least one part of our stack: - Mobile: React Native (bonus for native iOS/Android) - Web Frontend: React, TypeScript, Apollo, Tailwind - Backend: TypeScript, Go, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, gRPC - Hosting: GCP (bonus for AWS) So, why join Eucalyptus? - Make real impact, fast – You’ll see your work influencing patient journeys immediately. - Collaborate globally – Work with talented colleagues in London and Sydney, shaping solutions that scale internationally. - Stretch your creativity – Work on open-ended challenges that demand inventive problem‑solving. - Cross‑functional influence – Contribute to projects that intersect with growth, marketing, operations, and care teams. - Accelerate your career – Regular feedback, reviews, and a personal development budget to help you grow quickly. - Work with passionate peers – Our talent bar is high, our mission is ambitious, and our culture is supportive. Benefits include: - Equity through our employee options program - Newly opened HQ in Old Street, designed for focus and collaboration - Flexible hybrid setup: 3 days a week in‑office - Monthly wellness allowance - Yearly personal development budget + 3 extra days leave - 25 days holiday + bank holidays + enhanced parental leave - 3 weeks per year “work from anywhere” policy - Regular socials, sports, clubs, and seasonal parties (last year’s winter social was in Paris 🇫🇷) - Your own MacBook and more At Eucalyptus, we value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
