We’re on the hunt for a Digital Content & Engagement Manager who lives and breathes digital storytelling. Someone who knows how to grow audiences, spark conversations, and build meaningful connections through compelling content and smart strategy.

In this full-time leadership role, you’ll take the reins of the Club’s digital ecosystem—from strategy to execution. You’ll collaborate across departments to build engagement, drive innovation, and lead a team of creatives who bring the SUNS to life across our platforms.
You’ll be responsible for growing our digital footprint, exploring new markets, creating commercial opportunities, and keeping us ahead of the curve in a constantly evolving space. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Digital Content, Growth & Engagement Strategy with a sharp focus on expanding into new audiences and markets.
- Drive digital storytelling that elevates our brand beyond the boundary line.
- Use data and insights to spark content innovation across web, app, and social channels.
- Manage and commercialise Club digital assets in collaboration with the Commercial team.
- Maintain and evolve our website, social platforms, and digital infrastructure.
- Lead internal content projects and deliver digital solutions across departments.
- Oversee content planning, production workflows, and brand consistency.
- Mentor a team of digital creatives—including designers and producers—to help them grow, thrive, and deliver their best work.
- Be an internal champion of innovation, collaboration, and digital-first thinking.
Who You Are
You’re a digital all-rounder with a knack for leading people, crafting strategy, and telling stories that make people stop scrolling. You understand the AFL landscape, live for the challenge of rapid content delivery, and bring a balance of creativity and commercial smarts.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in a similar digital leadership role, ideally within elite sport.
- Proven ability to grow and engage audiences across digital and social platforms.
- A passion for storytelling and an eye for what cuts through online.
- Experience managing creatives, meeting deadlines, and running multi-channel campaigns.
- Sound knowledge of web CMS systems and digital workflows.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience monetising digital assets.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels.
- A hunger to stay ahead of trends, try new things, and push boundaries.
- A fierce work ethic and a cool head under pressure—because this isn’t a 9-to-5 gig.
