About the Role
St Catherine’s School is looking for an enthusiastic VCE Psychology teacher to commence Term 1, 2026. This full‑time, ongoing position reports to the Head of Science. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity and passion for science through engaging, inquiry‑based lessons that develop critical thinking, problem‑solving skills and a deep understanding of scientific concepts and their real‑world applications. All staff are expected to uphold and embody the School’s strategic vision, values and traditions while contributing to a Culture of Thinking.
Qualifications
- Current VIT registration.
- VCE Psychology teaching experience (essential).
- Current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on Science.
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine’s Teaching for Thinking culture.
- Well‑developed classroom management strategies that enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Active supporter of and contributor to a collegial work environment.
- Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning.
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.
