We are seeking Speech Pathologists to join our expanding allied health team in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a Speech Pathologist with our organisation, you will have the opportunity to work across the lifespan with clients who require assessment and intervention for various speech and language disorders.
Position Details:We provide services across the lifespan for children and adults funded by NDIS, Medicare (EPC/CDM), HCP and CHSP Packages, or privately funded. Our Speech Pathologists assess and intervene for:
- Speech Language Social Communication Literacy Voice Fluency Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Swallowing/Mealtime Management / Dysphagia
We continue to develop innovative, multidisciplinary programs to meet the needs of our community, including those with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, Ehler-Danlos Syndrome and Generalised Hypermobility Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Developmental Co-ordination Disorders, Down Syndrome, other Genetic Disorders, and neurological conditions.
Essential Skills & Experience:To be successful as a Speech Pathologist with our organisation, you will need:
- Qualification as a Speech Pathologist
- Registration as a Certified Practicing Member of SPA
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to use mobile technology in the workplace
- Passion for ongoing learning and progression
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Registration with Medicare
- Current WWC and police check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Driver's Licence
We are also looking for applicants with:
- Experience working in the NDIS space
- Paediatric experience
- Assessment and intervention experience across the lifespan within a variety of clinical areas
- Able to work within a multidisciplinary team to support diverse presentations
- Strong organisational and management skills
- High standard communication skills, including written communication and reporting
