The Opportunity

As we continue our strong growth in the water sector, we are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer – Water Pipelines to join us in Sydney and be part of our national water business. Building on your experience in water and wastewater design for conveyance pipelines, hydraulic structures, pump stations, service reservoirs and water facilities. Building strong client relationships and demonstrating your ability to understand our client's core business you will be able to provide solutions and service to clients both off and on site.

About You

You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer and have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and gained a strong understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices on site and within a professional services environment. Highly organised with outstanding technical and communication skills you'll have the desire and ability to lead and mentor a team and drive successful project outcomes for our clients.

You will also have:

- Expertise in various aspects of civil engineering including study involvement, budget, schedule and scope, development, detailed design, analysis, construction/commissioning phase support and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Experience in the scoping and development of engineering work packages including time-based estimates for deliverables.
- An interest in and experience in strengthening and growing existing client connections and supporting the building of relevant new relationships, as a trusted technical advisor.
- Showing an ability to understand our client's core business and ensure that services meet their expectations.
- A working style that embraces working collaboratively with other disciplines to bring together the best technical expertise from across a business.
- Relevant industry knowledge, innovation and thought leadership.
