Virtual Services Senior Medical Workforce Coordinator Role

The Medical Workforce Unit at Northern Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Partner to join the Senior Medical Workforce team. The role involves working closely with the Director of Medical Workforce and other key stakeholders to ensure administrative aspects of recruitment, credentialing, and re-appointment are completed in a proactive manner.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Workforce Leadership team to ensure efficient recruitment processes.
  • Provide support for senior medical staffing, addressing workforce issues as they arise and escalating appropriately.
  • Assist doctors with Continuing Medical Education (CME) claims and queries.
  • Gain an understanding of operational requirements for clinical units to inform staffing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including payroll and People and Culture, regarding SMS employment matters.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, assisting finance with budget formulation and maintenance of clinicians' work schedules.
About You:
  • You will have experience in office administration within a complex environment.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with high-level interpersonal skills to work autonomously with Clinical Leadership.
  • Previous experience in staffing recruitment and appointment processes, or payroll, finance, or billing for medical specialists, would be highly regarded.
  • You hold an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Business/Finance Administration, Health, Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • You are able to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a team and independently.
