Job description:

• Collaborate with clients to review proposals, sketches, and instructions to determine the design and composition of signs.

• Utilise computer software and signmaking machines to design and create signs, logos, and illustrations.

• Create murals, screen prints, gold leaf work, and vinyl lettering for various applications.

• Apply vinyl wrapping to different media surfaces with precision.

• Print and plot designs on laminate and other paper materials.

• Measure and calculate the appropriate letter sizes, prepares surfaces, and applies background paint using brushes, sprays, and rollers.

• Paint signs and lettering on various surfaces, including brick, metal, timber, glass, and plastic, using lacquers, varnishes, paints, and other materials.

• May also create three-dimensional signs for a diverse range of projects.

Qualifications/Attributes:

• Must hold a Certificate III in Signs and Graphics or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification.

• Must possess at least a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Experience with signmaking machines and design software.

• Knowledge of various materials, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.

• Strong attention to detail and creativity.

• Good communication and client interaction skills.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
