Northern Health is seeking a Hospital Medical Officer to join our Emergency Department team.

About the Role:

The Emergency Department at Northern Health is a large, vibrant and fast-paced workplace. As an ED HMO, you will experience a wide range of interesting and varied pathology and have ample opportunity to initiate and be involved in the care of a diverse mix of presentations including complex and unwell medical, surgical, trauma and O+G cases.

Responsibilities:

- Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterisation, plaster application and IV cannulation
- Participate in a weekly HMO Education Program and simulation program on the ED floor
- Develop skills in ultrasound and ECG interpretation
- Opportunities to be involved in quality improvement projects and audits
