Job Description Role Purpose and Objectives: - Leadership & Coordination – Guide a team of project managers, allocate tasks, and foster a culture of accountability and growth. - Project Governance & Oversight – Ensure compliance with Council frameworks, maintain documentation, and refine delivery practices. - Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Act as the primary contact for project communication, coordinate engagement, and prepare reports. - Risk, Safety & Compliance – Oversee adherence to safety, environmental, and risk management standards within projects. - Financial & Procurement Management – Monitor budgets, support funding proposals, and oversee procurement and contract administration. Desired Skills and Experience To Apply for this role, please include a cover letter addressing the followingKey Selection Criteria: Essential qualifications and experience - Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, project management, or a related discipline, or equivalent substantial experience. - Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects or programs - Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, including mentoring, workload management, and performance oversight. - Extensive contract and procurement management experience, including acting under delegated authority. - Sound understanding of project risk management, governance, compliance obligations, and local government frameworks. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to build consensus and manage competing priorities. - High-level analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in complex project environments. - Proficient in project management software and systems, with strong digital literacy.
