Deputy Principal & Learning Support Coordinator (Primary)

Kalamunda Christian School (KCS), founded in 1984 and located inthe scenic suburb of Walliston, offers students a nurturing,Christ-centred learning environment. We are seeking a faith-filled, inspirational and dynamic DeputyPrincipal & Learning Support Coordinator who believes thatlearning is life's greatest adventure and is eager tochallenge and foster the individual talents of each teacher andstudents to help them fulfil their potential. This dual roleinvolves a mixture of classroom teaching and administrativeleadership on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Student Wellbeing and Care – Fosterstudent wellbeing by developing supportive structures andensuring exceptional pastoral care inside and outside theclassroom. Take leadership in resolving grievances within theschool community and ensure strict compliance with ChildProtection and Reporting policies. Maintain up-to-dateknowledge and promptly report any concerns. Be able to referparents to relevant support, as well as applying for NCCDfunding requirements and processes.

- Leadership - Provide servant-heartedleadership marked by humility and strong relational skills. Bean essential part of the KCS leadership team in managing theplanning, delivery, evaluation, and improvement of educationfor all students. Report progress and evaluate theimplementation of the school's Strategic Improvement Plan(SIP). Lead change and innovation to promote excellence. Serveas a humble role model and take a leading role in the spirituallife of the Primary School. Ability to take on Acting Principalrole when required.

- Administration - Lead and manage teachersand Education Assistants (EAs), by developing a supportive,collegial environment and assisting with recruitment,deployment, and induction. Mentoring staff to improve andengage with contemporary teaching practices. Model theschool's mission and virtues. Manage the PrimarySchool's budget in collaboration with the principal andBusiness Manager. Take a lead role in NCCD fundingdocumentation and administrative requirements around theseprocesses.

Selection Criteria:

- Proven leadership experience in educational settings, witha focus on collaboration, capacity-building andinnovation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fosteringpositive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Shows leadership through effective, relational and timelycommunication.
- Experience in administrative processes, documentation andadapting to a variety of reporting systems.
- Commitment to the establishment and maintenance of qualityrelationships with students, staff, parents and the widercommunity.
- Demonstrates a strong Christian faith, that supports andmodels the vision, mission and virtues of the school.
