Business Overview

ISPT's Finance function is responsible for managing the fiscal health, reporting and analysis of financial business decisions. This dynamic function oversees budgeting, tax, treasury, financial planning, valuations and procurement, ensuring that the organisation's financial resources are efficiently allocated and optimised across its diverse investment portfolio. The team excels in financial analysis, compliance and reporting, enabling ISPT to make informed investment choices and meet regulatory requirements. Expertise includes capital allocation, debt management and financial modelling, and is instrumental to ISPT achieving robust returns and sustainable growth.

The Role

This role will work closely with the Finance Manager to deliver all management and statutory reporting obligations required from the ISPT's Fund Accounting team.

Key duties will include:

1. Monthly management packs - preparation of monthly net asset value calculations
2. Balance sheet reconciliations - monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to reports from property managers
3. Quarterly distributions - preparation of tax calculations to support quarterly distributions and reviewing distribution payment calculations from Funds' registry
4. Maintaining capex depreciation schedules - coordinating with external advisors who maintain the capex depreciation schedules
5. Annual financial statements - preparation of interim and annual financial reports in accordance with the Australian Accounting Standards
6. Tax compliance reporting - preparation of BAS returns as well as liaising with tax advisors with respect to annual tax statements and income tax returns
7. Other reporting items - preparation of debt compliance certificates and ASIC Regulatory Guide 46 disclosures

Your Background and Experience

1. Degree qualification
2. Studying towards or completed CA/CPA
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and proficient in Excel
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
6. Strong technical knowledge both in accounting and tax
7. Team player and takes ownership of work and deliverables
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Previous end-to-end accounting experience within property fund accounting not required but highly desirable
