We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a well-established mechanical contractor specializing in the refurbishment and repair of hydraulic parts, power transmissions and gearboxes for commercial trains and heavy industrial machinery.

What our client is Offering:

What's In It For You:

- Hourly Rate: $45.22/hr to $48 per hour (38hr week)
- All OVERTIME paid at DOUBLE TIME.
- Yearly Incentive Bonus: Up to 6 weeks of extra pay (Base target: 3 weeks = $5,725.28).
- 5 weeks of annual leave + 17.5% loading.
- Ongoing local & international training to enhance your skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and service mechanical components.
- Reassemble products based on precise technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to ensure all work meets industry standards.
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and follow OHS policies.
- Occasionally install serviced components on client sites.

Work Hours:

- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Friday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Overtime available when required.

The Ideal Candidate: We're looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters who meet the following criteria:

- Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting (Essential)
- Proven mechanical aptitude with extensive experience in repairs and servicing.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Role Involves:

- Servicing, overhauling, and repairing mechanical and hydraulic equipment both in the field and workshop.
- Performing fault-finding, disassembling, and rebuilding high-value components.
- Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment when required.
- Building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality service.
