About the Role

Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Neurology - Epilepsy (Fractional) at Alfred Health.

This position is for 12.25 hours per week, which includes:

Epilepsy Clinics

- Tuesday PM First Seizure Clinic – 3.5hrs Alfred

- Wednesday PM Epilepsy Clinic, Caulfield – 3.5rs

VEM/EEG

- One-month Maxi-VEM service, fortnightly EEG – 1.75hrs

Gen Neurology

- Tues AM General Neurology Clinic – 3.5hrs

Note: Applicants are encouraged to apply for a component of available sessions and to note in your cover letter your interested session/s.

Qualifications and Skills Required

- Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice

- Fellow of the relevant college

- Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Neurology

- Meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Neurology

- Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills

- Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels

- Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
