Driller - Underground

Overview

Boart Longyear is the world's leading provider of drilling services, drilling equipment, and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally. The company's Global Drilling Services division operates in over 40 countries with a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, and other metals and minerals.

We are currently seeking Underground Diamond Drillers with directional and deep hole experience. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with a strong commitment to Health & Safety.

About the Role

- Vacancies across Australia

- 2/1 or 2/2 roster with rotating shifts

- Conducting drilling operations over a 12-hour shift

- Leading drill crews, including training of Driller Assistants

- Daily pre-start equipment checks

- General maintenance

- Setting up drill pads and coordinating rig moves

- Completion of safety documentation and compliance with safe work practices

The successful candidate must possess

- Previous underground Diamond Drilling experience essential

- Previous experience with directional and/or deep hole drilling is highly preferred

- Experience working on BLY LM and mobile rigs is preferred

- Current Drivers C License

- National Police Clearance, or ability to have one

- First Aid and CPR certificate (desirable)

- Certificate III in Drilling (desirable)

- Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen

- Right to work in Australia
