We are looking for:

Sandhills Early Childhood Centre is a council-operated 59-place centre in the heart of Byron Bay with natural and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces abundant with trees, wildlife, garden beds, rockeries and grassed areas.

We are looking for an exceptional Early Childhood Educator (Certificate 3) to assist in delivering a nurturing, creative, engaging, and intentional program that enhances children’s learning and development, strengthens partnerships with families and aligns with the National Quality Framework. We have a full-time permanent position available.

We are also looking to support motivated and caring individuals who are eager to start a rewarding career in early childhood education? You can join our team as a Trainee Early Childhood Educator. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and gain your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through a supported traineeship.

No prior qualifications required – just a positive attitude and commitment to completing the Certificate III. Trainee rates will apply.

You will:

- work with a team of exceptional educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning framework

- receive the Federal Government’s early childhood worker retention payment (additional 10% of the base Children’s Services award rate)

- For the Certificate 3 position you will be paid between $30.72/hour and $35.59/hour (based on experience and qualifications) plus the worker retention payment of about $3/hour

- be eligible for flexible working arrangements

- be eligible for 12% superannuation, access to long service leave, education training support, salary packaging, fitness passport, employee assistance
