About the Centre
The City of Melbourne is redeveloping the Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre (KCARC) located within JJ Holland Park in Kensington. The new $68.2 million environmentally sustainable facility is due to open Mid 2025 and will feature: a heated 25 -Metre 8 Lane Pool, 700 m2 Health Club, three multi-purpose courts, three large flexible spaces and a Café.

About the Role
As a PT/Health & Fitness Instructor you will possess a genuine desire to encourage and support members to achieve their health and fitness goals. The Instructor is relied upon to motivate, educate and enhance each member’s experience. Through developing a rapport with members, the PT/Health & Fitness Instructor fosters a commitment to their improved health and wellbeing.
This is a casual position with an hourly rate up to $37.05 + Super (Health/fitness instructor role) & Up to $58.84 per hour + Super (PT role). This role may also be offered on a part-time basis to the right candidate.
About You
As a PT/Fitness Instructor, you’ll be a strong communicator and dynamic leader, motivating and educating our diverse clientele to build healthy, active behaviours. You will be passionate about member growth and customer service with the need to work across the gym floor and customer service with a mindset to engage in the community.
Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III & Certificate IV in Fitness or approved equivalent (only require Cert IV alone for health/fitness instructor role)
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Current fitness registration
