(Immediate Start) Cleaner In Charge

Salary: Level 3, $1,254.30 - $1,268.90 per week (pro-rata) (GS (Misc.) GA 2025)

This is a permanent part-time (0.88FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2025

Located in East Victoria Park, Carson Street School serves primary aged students with moderate to severe special needs.

Carson Street School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cleaner in Charge to join their friendly team. To be suitable for this role you should have a good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. Ideally you are organised, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment, safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.

The Cleaner In Charge is responsible for opening and closing the school and may require internal cleaning duties.

The Cleaner in Charge at Carson Street School works a split shift, 4.00 am – 7.30 am in the morning and 2.30 pm – 6.00 pm in the afternoon.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience in supervising staff, as they will work alongside school staff and manage staff performance in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services. In addition, the Cleaner In Charge will liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters, record and respond to issues and concerns, maintain the cleaner’s time book, arrange relief staff, and be responsible for monitoring and ordering stock supplies and stocktaking cleaning resources.
