Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

The Wantirna South campus is looking for both a part-time and full-time Primary Physical Education Teachers to work with students from Prep-Year 6. We invite applications from educators who are passionate about delivering engaging and age-appropriate physical education lessons which promote physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship. There is also an opportunity for the right applicant to be appointed as Head of PE (Primary) and coordinate school events, programs, interschool and interhouse sports competitions.

- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)

- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement

- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education

- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities

- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills

Waverley Christian College is committed to providing best practice support for graduate teachers and teachers who are new to Christian Education. Our Graduate Teacher Program includes time release, mentoring, equipping for Christian Education and a comprehensive induction program that will help to develop the skills and competencies needed to become an effective classroom practitioner.

A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Anaphylaxis Certificate (22578VIC or HLTAID012) are also required prior to starting in the role.
