Job Title: Registered Nurse - Hughenden, Queensland.

Job Type: Permanent – Part-Time (32 hours per fortnight).

They are actively seeking a self-driven and proactive Registered Nurse who is motivated to achieve a positive, comprehensive approach to nursing in a supportive, exciting general practice environment. This is a part-time position (32 hours per fortnight), with potential to increase to a full-time.

Position Description

- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patient

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive healthcare

- Diagnose and treat acute health problems, such as infections and minor injuries

- Participate in health promotion and education initiatives

- Order, perform and interpret specific diagnostic tests

- Ensure adequate supplies are on hand or appropriately stored at all times

- Assist GPs with minor procedures

- Provide safe and effective administration of vaccines

- Input, maintain and provide relevant records of immunisation/vaccinations

- Provide advice and education to families and patients

Qualifications & Experience

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

- Previous experience in general practice or similar healthcare setting is desirable

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Australian work rights

- Current Criminal Record Check (or willing to undertake)

- Excellent organisational skills

- Ability to work well independently or in a team

- Commitment to quality patient care
