Overview

Our Women Up Front Trainee Bus Driver program offers you the support and training you need to become a licensed and confident bus driver. This includes:

- A friendly and supportive environment
- An extensive induction training program with a mix of classroom and on-road training
- Training to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
- A 12-month training program (mix of classroom and on the job training) to gain a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Driving Operations - Bus)
- Industry leading pay throughout your training
- You will be assigned a Buddy throughout the training process to support your development
- Depot Locations - North Fitzroy, Preston, Doncaster, Keysborough and Heatherton

Responsibilities

The program provides the training and development needed to become a licensed bus driver. Responsibilities during the program include participating in the induction, completing on-road and classroom training, and progressing through the 12-month training path toward the Certificate III in Driving Operations - Bus.

Qualifications

- Excellent customer service skills and who enjoy working with people
- A current Australian Car driver’s licence (full licence held for at least 2 years)
- Willingness to have a pre-employment functional, drug and alcohol assessment
- Ability to obtain a Driver Accreditation and Working with Children Check
- Hold Australian work rights (Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen)
- Please note you must be available to attend an assessment centre from our North Fitzroy depot
