Video and Social Media Producer - News Corp

The Sports Digital Team is searching for a dynamic Video and Social Media Producer to join our team on a 2-year contract, with the possibility to stay on permanently. Reporting to the Video and Social Lead, this role is essential for our video and social media presence, driving video views across platforms, distributing content from various digital products, and increasing engagement.

This is a hands-on role requiring a creative and technical background in video production. You will generate daily video and graphic ideas, execute, and edit content for multiple platforms. A passion for sport and the ability to work quickly and independently are essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify, produce, and deliver high-quality videos for on-site and social platforms across various sports.
2. Create assets to promote podcasts and grow audiences.
3. Film, source, and produce video packages that resonate with News Corp audiences.
4. Create basic graphics and designs.
5. Understand social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
6. Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
7. Knowledge of YouTube CMS to enhance podcast video presence on YouTube.
8. Collaborate with the team to share best practices in news video storytelling.
9. Communicate with stakeholders to meet video expectations.
10. Track and analyze the success of video content using data.
11. Manage time effectively and communicate clearly.
12. Bring stories to life through video and publish across apps, websites, and social media.
13. Shoot, edit, and present original videos based on national stories.
14. Create compelling graphics for sharing on platforms.
15. Discover trending social video content for sharing.
16. Guide and train journalists and producers on video best practices.
17. Report on content performance to meet KPIs.

Who are you?

- Relevant experience in video producing and editing, preferably in sports or social media content creation.
- Strong storytelling and editing skills, with proficiency in Premiere Pro.
- Knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects (desirable).
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Understanding of video content trends and social platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
