Requirements

The Nursery Seed Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Site Manager.

- This is a crew leader position for the production seed collection team (for specific projects).

- Coordinate the collection team in seed collection site reconnaissance, seed collection, seed cleaning, seed testing, and seed inventory tracking duties.

- Coordinate with vendors of seed collection to ensure targets are being met and seed collection reports are submitted on time.

- Provide weekly updates to the Site Manager on collection order status and cleaning and testing progress.

- Provide reports and accrual data to clients and the Site Manager as each project demands.

- Continue to expand species‑specific knowledge data within the Nupqu Native Plant Nursery inventory system relating to collection, cleaning, and testing.

- Enter and submit time‑off requests and other HR‑related time management and expenses in Sage Intacct and PurelyHR.

- Manage billable hour tracking for seed projects as they relate to the collection crew’s work on projects.

- This position requires regular field days (4–5 days per week during the busy summertime) and periodic overnights; a flexible schedule is necessary for most seed collection projects.

Duties

Ensure the health and safety practices among the seed team as per the Nupqu Health and Safety Manual.

Including but not limited to:

- Submission of daily hazard assessments for lab and field work.

- Inspection of vehicles and equipment.

- Field work safety kits and equipment are present and sufficient.

- Check‑ins are submitted correctly and on time.

- Lab and field activities include the appropriate use of PPE given the task at hand.
