Home Care Service Manager - Dubbo

The Opportunity:

The Home Care Service Manager is an integral part of our leadership team responsible for day-to-day operational leadership and oversees the delivery of safe, effective and excellent Home Care Services across Dubbo and the greater Orana region.As part of a progressive organisation that is excited about the future of aged care and committed to transforming Home Care services in line with the Support at Home program, you will be instrumental supporting your team to adapt to these changes by ensuring they have the skills, resources, training and understanding of these changes which come into effect in November .

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Home Care, you will:

- Lead the Home Care Service: Ensure the delivery of safe, effective care while aligning services with regulatory requirements and UPA's strategic goals.
- Support our 'Connect' model of care: Provide space and priority to your team for learning opportunities and reflective practice. Embrace change and support your team to adapt to changes in a positive and resourceful manner.
- Risk Management: Identify and respond to risks proactively, always ensuring the safety of both staff and clients.
- Service Performance: Monitor and manage service performance to meet established KPIs and ensure high-quality, consistent delivery. Maintain local networks to promote UPA and services in the community.
- Team Development: Support the development of your team members by providing coaching and mentoring in an open and transparent manner. Support a growth culture within the team through taking proactive responses to risks and issues and holding a safe space for your team.
- Continuous Improvement: Use data, audits, and feedback to drive service improvements, address concerns, and implement best practices.
- Work Health and Safety: Facilitate and implement strategies for managing workplace health and safety, addressing high-risk issues to maintain a secure environment.

About you:

- You bring at least 3 years of experience in a senior healthcare or Home Care/Community Services role.
- You have a strong understanding of Aged Care regulations and funding.
- You excel in problem-solving, adaptability, and managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- You have excellent communication skills and a passion for staff development, leading teams to deliver high-quality care.
- You are skilled at analysing performance data to drive improvements and achieve the best outcomes for both staff and clients.
- Resilient and proactive, you lead change effectively and navigate challenges with confidence.
- You possess strong mentoring and coaching abilities, empowering your team while fostering trust and accountability.
