Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns, is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and charismatic Porters, who are looking to join our team of friendly guest focused individuals, dedicated to providing exceptional service within our Front Office department at a 5-star level.

The Hotel

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns.With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.

The Role

As a Porter you will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a high standard of personal presentation and a true understanding of unparalleled customer service.

Successful candidates will also possess the following:

- Previous experience in a similar role in a five star hotel (highly desirable)
- Have availability over a 7-day rotating roster
- Excellent standard of personal presentation
- Basic computer and telephone skills
- Outstanding customer service
- Team orientated and able to work under pressure
- Good physical fitness to be able to handle luggage, push/pull trolleys, escort guests to hotel rooms
- Have good English speaking and reading skills – communicating via hand-held radio essential
- Be a quick learner of hotel front office arrival & departure procedures and how to assist with guest requests
- Full Drivers License
- Full working rights in Australia
