About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our crucial support team as an Activity and Lifestyle Assistant at our John Flynn Retirement Village in Burwood East, VIC. This is a part time position working Tues-Friday ********* with our Independent Apartment residents.

We love when our lifestyle assistants use their creative flair to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents. This is a diverse role, and no two days are the same You will:

- Promote happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life for all residents
- Work closely with the activities team to ensure our events calendar runs smoothly
- Run our resident bingo - it sure is a fan favourite
- Assist in the delivery of various workshops, social and craft activities. Anything from bake offs, fashion shows and even floristry demonstrations
- Accompany residents on various outings

About You

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

- Strong empathy
- Outstanding communication skills
- A creative flair you're not afraid to let shine
- Certificate III/IV in Leisure & Lifestyle is desired (but not essential for the right candidate)
