Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Foreman – Palmerston
Are you a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic ready to take the next step into a leadership role? We're looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join the team as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Foreman, overseeing workshop operations and ensuring the highest standard of maintenance and repair work.

About the Role :
As the Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Foreman, you will:

- Lead and supervise a team of diesel mechanics and apprentices
- Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of heavy vehicles and machinery
- Coordinate daily workflow, job allocations, and workshop scheduling
- Monitor and maintain WH&S standards within the workshop
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders on job progress and requirements
- Assist with hands-on mechanical work as required

What We're Looking For

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or extensive industry experience.
- Proven experience working on heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment.
- Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- A valid HR (Heavy Rigid) or higher license (preferred).
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance with workplace regulations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leading hand role

- Excellent communication and team management skills
