Residential Care Worker - Youth & Disability Support

Kanda are seeking passionate Residential Care Workers in Rockhampton to support children and young people in residential care and disability settings.

In this role you will:

- Provide direct care, guidance, and supervision to young people in a residential setting
- Support children and young people with disabilities to build independence and life skills
- Assist with daily routines, self-care, education, and recreational activities
- Promote safe, stable, and nurturing living environments
- Build trusting relationships, offering emotional support and mentorship
- Work collaboratively within a therapeutic, trauma-informed care framework
- Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement
- Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers)
- Valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle
- Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
- Experience working with young people/children
- Experience working in other support work related fields, i.e. disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare
