About the Role

TSA Riley’s Transaction Management team continues to advise on some of Australia’s most complex and high‑value infrastructure programmes. With opportunities across transport, renewables, water and social infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced Associate to help lead major commercial and procurement engagements.

As an Associate, you’ll take ownership of key components of large‑scale transactions and independently lead smaller advisory engagements. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to develop commercial frameworks, procurement strategies and transaction documentation that support successful outcomes for government and private‑sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead components of the end‑to‑end transaction process, including EOI, RFP and contract development

- Develop commercial structures, delivery models and procurement strategies with limited supervision

- Analyse commercial, financial and risk information to shape commercial strategies and evaluation approaches

- Manage multidisciplinary inputs to produce high‑quality client deliverables

- Support – and often lead – client presentations, evaluation processes and negotiations

- Oversee small project teams and mentor junior staff

- Contribute to capability development through internal methodologies, templates and best‑practice guidelines

About You

- 8‑12 years’ experience in commercial advisory, transactions, procurement, infrastructure consulting, legal, engineering, or related fields

- Proven experience leading components of complex transactions, commercial negotiations, or major procurement processes

- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to structure options, assess risks and inform decision‑making

- Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders and leading discussions

- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and deliver high‑quality outcomes

- A strategic thinker who brings a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to project delivery
