About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Panel Beater to join either our AMA Group Solutions or Capital S.M.A.R.T Repairs team to undertake quality workmanship to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Check received parts for correctness and defects
2. Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
3. Label and store parts
4. Notate broken parts and extra repairs and submit to Estimator as requested
5. Check new parts for correctness and damage, communicating defects to Parts Manager/Production Manager
6. Colour mix and match vehicle after preparation and scheduling for painting
7. Build and maintain colour library
8. Prep, prime, and paint vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier’s process
9. Buff and denib vehicle
10. Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards, and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
11. Reassemble vehicle
12. Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
13. Clean workbay and workshop areas
14. Coach apprentices when required
15. Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and in a workable condition
16. Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE

About You:

1. Trade qualified Panel Beater
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Strong commitment to working in a safe manner
4. Excellent communication skills
5. High attention to detail
6. Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
7. Ability to meet strict deadlines
8. Reliable, punctual & hardworking
9. Own tools to fulfil the role

To become a member of our team, you must have:

1. AQF Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent or relevant experience
2. Minimum 4 years experience
